Anti-acne. De-tan. Muscle relief. Sensitive skin. Real problems with real ingredient stories — but a brand that didn’t yet exist to carry them. That’s where we came in.
At Studio OkCaramel, we built Clarity Labs as a cohesive brand ecosystem from the ground up. A distinctive identity to anchor it. A packaging system that could scale across SKUs without losing the plot. Social media that sounded like the brand. Meta ads built to actually convert. And an Amazon-first listing approach designed for a market where most shoppers meet a soap brand inside a search grid, not on a shelf.
The result: a clear, confident, scalable brand that knows what it’s for.
We built a cohesive brand ecosystem from the ground up, starting with a distinctive brand identity that established a strong, credible foundation. Every touchpoint was crafted to ensure Clarity Labs showed up as a clear, confident, and scalable brand.
Soap is a deceptively hard category to design for. The pack is small. The variants are many. The brand has to live on every box without the box ever shouting over the product.
We designed Clarity Labs’ packaging as a system, not a series of one-offs. One layout architecture. One typographic hierarchy. One way to communicate what it solves in three seconds or less because that’s all you get on a shelf, in a search result, or in a customer’s hand.
Each variant earns its own identity through color and ingredient cues, while staying unmistakably part of the same family. Stack them together and they look like a range. Place one in isolation and it still reads as Clarity Labs. That’s the test a packaging system has to pass, and ours does.
Here’s something most brands get wrong: they design beautiful packaging for retail, then upload a phone snap to Amazon and wonder why the listing converts at 4%.
We treated Amazon as a primary surface for Clarity Labs, not a leftover. Every product was approached with a listing-first design lens — hero images engineered to win the thumbnail, secondary images that answer objections before the customer types them into Q&A, A+ content that tells the brand and ingredient story properly, and infographic-led imagery that does the work copy can’t.
As an e-commerce design agency, we know the Amazon shopper isn’t browsing. They’re hunting. The listing has eight seconds to do the convincing. We built every Clarity Labs listing to win those eight seconds — and to keep winning them as the algorithm and competition shift.
This is what an Amazon-first approach actually looks like: design for the platform’s behaviour, not against it.
A new brand without social presence is invisible. A new brand with the wrong social presence is forgettable. The middle path is what we built for Clarity Labs.
We turned the identity system into a content engine — templates, post architectures, and a visual rhythm that lets the brand publish consistently without looking templated. Educational posts about ingredients. Problem-solution carousels that mirror how customers actually shop. Founder-led content where it earned a place. UGC frames that work even when the source footage is imperfect.
Copywriting carried the same job: sound like a brand that knows skin, knows soap, and doesn’t waste your time. No filler. No skincare-influencer-speak. Just clear, useful, occasionally funny communication that earned the follow.
Brand work without performance work is decoration. Performance work without brand work burns money. Clarity Labs got both, designed under one roof.
We developed performance-driven Meta ad creatives across statics, motion, story, and carousel formats, each variant built around a single hook, a single problem, and a single reason to click. The ads inherit the brand’s visual language, which means every impression compounds: the next time a customer sees a Clarity Labs ad, they recognize it. Brand recall and CTR move together, not against each other.
This is the work that separates an e-commerce design agency from a deck-making one. We design the brand, then we design the ad, then we design the listing the ad lands on. One visual logic, three surfaces, fewer leaks in the funnel.
